The following is a testimonial written by a parent of a child who is taking part in the research project.

 

I started taking my son (aged 2.5) to see Charlotte over a year ago.  My son was having difficulties and questions were being asked as to him having Autism.  Charlotte helped my son, my whole family and me in a way she will never know.  Of course questions are still being asked as to my son having Autism, but these are being asked with question marks due to the significant improvements in his development and self esteem.

 

I believe that Charlotte has opened so many doors for my son and has done this by alleviating his anxiety and blocks to learning. These have included; glue ear, fear of strangers and loud noises, fear of potty training, anxiety with changing circumstances; language difficulties and a safe awareness of the world around him.  The list could go on…

 

I feel it has also been of great benefit for me to work with Charlotte separately in order to get myself in the ‘right space’ for helping my son and the support she has given me has helped my son’s well being no end.

 

Over a year on, my son is a joy to take anywhere, he is always smiling and singing and people are drawn to him wherever we go.  This is a very different picture to where we were before seeing Charlotte and I am truly grateful and hope that this testimonial will urge parents facing similar difficulties to make an appointment.  We have never looked back and I am sure you won’t either.
